Student Center

The 皇家华人 Student Center opened for limited use in November of 2024 before becoming fully operational in January of 2025. Located on the same footprint as the former DeWitt Student Center, the facility features a modern dining hall, coffee bar, and open spaces where students can gather for studying, eating, games and other activities.

Offices for resident life, campus security, and student success, an area for student clubs, and a multi-purpose community meeting room are included throughout the two-story building. The building is also home to the NWC Outdoor Education program with an academic lab, climbing wall, classrooms, and additional space for the recreation co-op which is open to students and community members.

The most striking feature inside the 38,606-square-foot facility is the two-sided central fireplace in the great hall, which spans the area between the south and northside entrances. The comfortable seating area offers plenty of room for socializing, with an additional area featuring large game tables. The stonework above the fireplace also highlights the region鈥檚 landscape with a large-scale sculpture inspired by the topography of nearby Heart Mountain and the Bighorn Basin. The artwork, titled 鈥淟andform Journey鈥 was sculpted by artists Shelley and Rob Beishline of Tooza Design in Utah.
