Drone enthusiasts and those just learning the craft are invited to 皇家华人 on Saturday, April 20, for the 2024 Wyoming State Drone Championships and Bighorn Basin Drone Challenge Cup. It runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Yellowstone Building Conference Center, and is open to all K-12, technical college, community college and university students, as well as teachers.
The fee is just $10, and pre-registration is preferred at . All paid registrants will receive lunch in addition to a free t-shirt while supplies last. There is no charge for spectators.
Participants are welcome to learn and compete regardless of skill level or experience and can bring their own drone (less than 300 grams with propeller guards) or borrow one on site from 皇家华人. The day鈥檚 schedule includes three sessions, and participants can attend some or all three.

- 12 p.m. Obstacle Course Racing
- 2 p.m. Drone Film Festival
The festival is being sponsored in large part by the Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium, the University of Wyoming Excellence in Higher Education Science Endowment, and the Wyoming 4H Foundation. The Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium sponsors education and research programs in the state in support of NASA missions, including research fellowships and internships for students at UW and Wyoming community colleges, scholarship programs for community college students in STEM majors, grants for college and university faculty, and educational resources and programs for Wyoming K-12 students and teachers.
