“Kickstart Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship,” an exciting new program offering up to $7,200 toward tuition, is now available at 皇家华人. The new state-funded scholarship program is for those aged 24 and older who want to start college or simply need to finish the degree they started.
The money for the program comes from the 2023 Wyoming State Legislature, which set aside $1.25 million to “kickstart” the Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship program, which was established in 2022 by the legislature with a $10 million contribution from the legislature. However, that program will not begin until the fund has reached $50 million, making it fully endowed.
Rather than wait for the $50 million mark to be reached, the $1.25 million from the 2023 legislature is intended to allow a limited number of students to begin their journey toward a college degree or certificate as soon as possible.
Those 24 and older are eligible to apply for the Kickstart Wyoming’s Tomorrow Scholarship if they meet Wyoming residence qualifications and have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Individuals can receive up to $1800 per semester if they are enrolled in 12 or more credit hours for up to four full-time academic terms.
The new scholarship recipients must register with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services by completing a new account registration at . By registering, each scholarship winner will have access to information and career resources designed specifically for Wyoming residents’ needs to help them prepare for their job search, see jobs available in Wyoming, and connect with employers looking to hire.
